Meet the Staff

Lead Teacher
Tina Dizzini

Ms. Tina  has a Florida Childcare Professional Credential (FCCPC), Director’s Credential, and is VPK certified. Tina enjoys working with children because she says it provides an opportunity to make a difference in their lives.  Before taking over as the lead 2 year old teacher, Tina was the Auxiliary Program Coordinator.  She oversaw summer camp, after school and enrichment programs at our school.

“There is never one day that is like another.” Spending your day working with kids means lots of laughter! Tina enjoys the sense of pride that occurs when a child she has been working with accomplishes a task or moves up to a new stage of development.  Tina brings more than 20 years teaching experience, a ton of creativity, and a calm, easy going nature which meld perfectly together in a lively two year old class!

Teaching Assistants

Melissa Perkins

Melissa’s love for children brought her to the childcare field in 2001. She has been with SCEIC since 2003, serving as both a teaching assistant and a Lead Teacher in our part-time toddler program. She holds a Florida Childcare Professional Credential (FCCPC) and is VPK certified. The biggest reward in working at SCEIC seeing students make leaps and bounds.

“It is an amazing feeling to be able to share in those moments when a child says their first word, makes eye contact or reaches a goal you have been striving for,” says Melissa.

Melissa has been working in a VPK classroom but is making the transition to the toddler room. She brings many years of experience and a genuine love of children to the team.

Nicole began working in childcare at the age of  18. She comes to us from Albuquerque, New Mexico where she  worked in both summer and after school care programs with kids from  pre k to 5th grade. During her tenure there, she started as the assistant site supervisor but quickly moved to the site supervisor.  In that role, she led own aftercare site.  She says the responsibility ” was a great experience for me I was blessed to be in that position.”  In May 2014, she and her husband  moved to Florida. and that is when she found us.

“I am happy to be working with the little ones here at SCEIC, it makes me happy to know I’m in a position to help them learn and grow in a positive place!”
