Volunteers Help SCEIC

There are  a lot of things to do on a Saturday in Brevard County, but SCEIC was estatic when a group of volunteers offered to put on work clothes and volunteer their time to paint our playground fence!

Volunteers paint the SCEIC fenceOur fence was in dire need of weather resistance sealant to help protect it against the harsh Florida elements.  Just three years old, the fence was already requiring regular repairs, but thanks to Sherwin-Williams in Palm Bay, and a group of Harris volunteers, the fence received a coat of sealant which will protect and prolong the life of the fence.

Sherwin-Williams donated some of the supplies for this project, and eleven volunteers from Harris Corporation helped to apply the stain.

The fence is about 25% complete. We will be planning a second work day in the near future.  If you are interested inpicking up a paint brush lending a hand for the kids at SCEIC, please contact Candace Gross.
