Ms. Ashlee works with preschoolers of varying abilities to ensure they meet age appropriate milestones in cognitive, gross and fine motor, language, social/emotional and sensory integration. Here are some of the ways we help students meet age appropriate milestones.
Cognitive

Gross Motor
- walking on a balance beam

- throwing a ball overhand, 10 feet distance
Fine Motor
- child can complete a 12 piece interlocking puzzle
- lacing 1/2 in beads on pipe cleaners or yarn
Language
- following 3 step directions in correct sequence without prompting
- expressing wants and needs verbally
- can tell use of 8 common objects
- child will answer what, when, where questions related to a story, event or play
Social/Emotional
- expressing displeasure by using his or her words
- learning to take turns
- learn first/last name as well as birthday
- chooses play friends without influence
Sensory Integration
- differentiates between rough and smooth
- plays in fun foam with plastic animals and cars
- sand/water table with bubbles
- flour table with beans and noodles
