Ms. Lisa’s VPK

Ms Lisa works with students of all abilities to ensure they meet age appropriate milestones in cognitive, gross and fine motor, language, social/emotional and sensory integration.  Here are some of the ways we help students meet age appropriate milestones.


  • identifying upper-case letters through small group activities

Gross Motor

  • Jumping broad jumps
  • Hopping on one foot

Fine Motor

  • lace beads
  • cut with scissors
  • using clothes pins
  • peeling stickers
  • building with small blocks
  • placing buttons in small slits in cups
  • writing with chalk, crayons, small pencils


Receptive language skills:

  • pointing to items upon request
  • following 3 step directions
  • ordering items in sequence of events

Expressive language skills:

  • retelling events in a story
  • answering why, when, where questions
