A Visit from Laura at Pond Science LLC

Pond Science LLC

Laura from Pond Science LLC came out today to meet with our Executive Director, Terri Clark, and survey our pond.

The needs of the pond, and its impact on our neigbor, were discussed in detail.

Then we went out to the pond, and Laura kayaked out to measure the depth of the water.

A quote for upgrading our pond will be provided.

SCEIC Receives Funding for Tech Upgrades

Space Coast Early Intervention Center is excited to announce that we have received a generous grant from the  Margaret McCartney & R. Parks Williams Foundation that will allow us to complete tech upgrades at the Center. We will use these funds to purchase new servers for our computer system.
This is a much-needed upgrade that will allow our Admin and teachers to more efficiently complete their computer-based tasks, freeing them for more time with the students.

Flag Raising Dedication! 8/5/16 @ 11 am

Flag Raising Ceremony
Last fall, the teachers at the Space Coast Early Intervention Center (SCEIC) set a goal to have an American flag pole at the school. Now, thanks to local VFW Post #4206, this goal will be brought to life on August 5th, at 11:00 am. The community is encouraged to attend this event, which will take place at the school, located at 3790 Dairy Rd. Melbourne, FL 32904.

Local dignitaries are set to speak at the event, while the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and Rolling Thunder will be presenting the flags and overseeing the ceremony. Perhaps one of the most special moments, however, will be the 5-year-old students of SCEIC singing and pledging the newly raised flag. Following the ceremony, SCEIC is excited to host a picnic and photo op, where teachers and community members alike can pose with the newly raised flag.

“At SCEIC, not only do we challenge our students to set goals for themselves, but we also challenge our staff to set team goals for success as well. Adding a flag pole was a collaborative goal that our teachers set last year,” said Terri Clark, SCEIC’s Executive Director. “As a non-profit school, we rely on the support of our community to make things like this happen. Without the help of the VFW, we wouldn’t have been able to reach this goal. This ceremony will be special indeed – There won’t be a dry eye in the crowd!”
